Dr Nick Norton
Senior Energy Advisor to the International Energy Unit (IEU) since 2013, a joint unit of the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Tasked with bringing an industry commercial view and technical experience to the work of the unit. Previously 30 years in the energy industry with BP and latterly consulting including finance and business development experience of coal, petrochemicals, upstream oil & gas and renewables. Industry geographical experience has included the Middle East, SE Asia and most recently Russia and Iraq. With the IEU has engaged with industry and energy ministries in Europe, India, Africa, Asia and South America.
